Job Description:
As an assistant educator, you will ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children. You will implement an educational program aimed at the overall development and, ultimately, the educational success of the children in your care.
Responsibilities:
Assist the educators in childcare.
Perform various tasks with preschool children.
Prepare materials and facilities for various types of indoor and outdoor activities.
Prepare and serve snacks and meals.
Provides some physical care (cleaning, diaper changes, etc.)
Supervise and participate in the facilitation of educational or physical activities.
Establish a trusting relationship with the children and pay attention to their needs.
Contribute to creating a pleasant and stimulating environment for the children to promote their overall harmonious development.
Ensure the maintenance of the children's educational center's equipment and carry out household chores to keep the premises clean and safe.
Requirements:
Minimum Experience: Relevant experience in early childhood education or related field
Minimum education: DES - High School Diploma
Languages: French (required), English (required)
First aid CPR training adapted to early childhood (asset)
Conditions:
Schedule: Part-time (up to 20h/week)
Location: Griffintown (at the junction of Old Montreal and downtown)
Salary: $15.75 to $17.75/hour
Start date: January 2025
